Edith loves to cook and she always jumped at every opportunity she had to cook for people. She was doing it for fun because she is a civil servant, then one day she discovered she could make lots of money just by doing what she is passionate about. Read full story below.
Question: Can you please tell about yourself?
Edith: My name is Edith Chinago Francis;
I'm a Caterer and a Civil servant in the city of Port Harcourt.
Question: what inspired you to baking and cooking?
Edith: what inspired me to baking and cooking is the
Joy I derive from doing it. I feel very happy whenever I want to decorate a cake, a
hall, or cook for an event.
Interviewer: Catering is very important because it creates room for employment, it makes provision of food even to the poor masses, it also helps a mother to manage a home, the Caterer smiles as she speaks.
Question: What is your
biggest mistake?
Edith: My biggest
mistake so far was not having a good credit/ Payment facility for my customers.
This resulted into a series of bad debts that had lots of touching stories. I
had to keep reminding so many of my debtors, which lots of them never complied.
But now, I have developed a better payment plan for my customers, where they
can spread their payment over a period of time.
Interviewer: there must be
a challenge in every profession, but don't allow the challenges to weigh you
down, but find a way to bit your challenges. The Caterer didn't allow her debtors
to make her quit, rather she looked for a way to overcome.
Question: what are your
final words to the upcoming entrepreneurs, Young school leavers,
undergraduates, and those who don't have anything doing at the moment?
Edith: Follow your
mind and your passion for anything good you want to achieve,
don't just do anything because people are driving you into it. But learn a
skill because you are passionate about it.
Interviewer: Thank you Caterer
for your time, humility and Cooperation. Wish you more success and may God
Almighty bless you.
Edith: Thank you too
and God bless you.
